PC(USA) Pastors And Their Families Are Warmly Welcomed By PCT

Reported by Lin Yi-yin

To experience Taiwan culture and learn more about PCT’s diverse and dynamic ministries, a group of PC(USA) pastors and their families from North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia visited PCT General Assembly Office on August 30. These respectable guests had strongly supported PCT’s missions in Taiwan society for quite a long period of time.

Briefly practiced some Taiwanese greetings taught by Rev John McCall, the PC(USA) missionary stationed in Taiwan, the pastors and their families naturally broke ice with General Assembly office staffs, and were given a very warm welcome by Rev Lyim Hong-tiong, PCT General Secretary, in a gift-exchange of brooch, PCT150 souvenirs and renown Taiwan teas.

Except visiting PCT General Assembly Office, the pastors and their families also visited Wang Hsiang Village at Nan-tou, Presbyterian Bible College at Hsin-chu, 228 Massacre Memorial Park and Taiwan Theological College and Seminary at Taipei. Before their flight back to USA, these guests also attended PCT Mission Seminary of One-Lead-One New-Doubling-Movement at Presbyterian Bible College on September 4th and 5th to learn more about how Taiwan church proclaimed and witnessed good news to all Taiwanese people across this island.
