Published by the Presbyterian Church of Taiwan, a book launch of Dr Albert Lin’s autobiography, entitled as Thanksgiving, Perseverance And The Path Of Taiwan Independence was held at Chi-nan Presbyterian Church of Chi-Hsin Presbytery on 6 December.
Preluded in a grave sound saxophone played by one of his best students – Rev Zeng Kuo-chon, Albert’s students, friends and colleagues, including Rev Lyim Hong-tiong(PCT General Secretary), Prof Lin Ming-Chang(Academician of Academia Sinica), Dr Tsai Ming-hsein (former Minister of Defense) and Rev Fang Lang-ting(President of Taiwan Church Press), attended this book launch to pay tribute to their most beloved teacher, colleague and best friend.
In order to help Taiwan march toward a free, democratic and independent country with human rights and dignities, Rev Lyim Hong-tiong reminded the audience in this significant book launch that many effective methods , like URM(Urban Rurual Mission), OST(Open Space Technology), TPN(Third Party Neutral) and CBD(Civilian Based Defense) to raise social movement and training social activists, were single-handedly introduced into Taiwan society by Dr Albert Lin in his past 20 years’ efforts.
The life of Dr Albert Lin is truly following the teaching of Jesus, “strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness”(Matthew 6:33), to make his father land Taiwan filled with God’s justice, peace and compassion, Rev Lyim affirmed.
