Website of Worker’s Voice Promoted To Help Migrant Seamen & Fishermen

Reported by Lin Wang-ting

Jointly led by Rev Chen Woo-chang(Director of PCT SFSC, Seamen’s and Fishermen’s Service Center) and Mr Arthur Yeh(Executive Vice President of FCF Co Ltd), a service team of both church youth from Mei-Kang Presbyterian Church of Satipan ‘Amis Presbytery and working staffs from CFC Co Ltd celebrated Christmas Festival with dozens of migrant fishermen at Kaohsiung Harbor in the evening on 23 Dec 2021.

In the song of Feliz Navidada and We Wish You A Merry Christmas, migrant fishermen were entertained by Christmas carols, together with pastor’s blessings and FCF’s special gifts – 1,000 pcs of working backpacks to contain seamen’s personal belongings and critical documents instead of slipping stuffs into oblivion or nowhere.

Particularly, Worker’s Voice, as a website after a cooperative memorandum signed between SFSC and FCF Co., Ltd on 8 April 2021, was promoted amid the migrant fishermen again in order to seek a better communication between the employer(FCF) and the employee(fishermen).

Quoting Proverb 3:27, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it”, Mr Arthur Yeh pledge FCF would take care of the problems raised by fishermen through Worker’s Voice and do her best to act a good and responsible employer.
