SIB Women Ministry Co-Workers Visit PCT

Reported by Lin Jia-jin

On July 9, 15 sisters from the Sabah women’s ministry workshop of the Borneo Evangelical Church( Sidang Injil Borneo, abbreviated as SIB) visits the General Assembly Office of PCT.

Accompanied by Rev Limuyi Hayon, who is a pastor from Nahuyi District of Tayal Presbytery and goes to Sabah to engage in evangelical ministry every year, these 15 SIB sisters were well received by Rev Chhoa Lam-sin, PCT’s associate general secretary, and Rev Melissa Lian, secretary of women’s ministry committee.

Brother Wu Jeh-hau, interpreter for this SIB’s ecumenical visit, remarks that these 15 Sabah sisters mainly come from two aboriginal tribes, Rungus and Dusun, living around the Kudah district of northern Sabah.

After a brief introduction of PCT’s women ministry presented by Rev Melissa Lian, Ms Nontilis Binti Tayan, president of SIB, delivers her humble wish that more exchange programs and cooperation could be held in the future between SIB and PCT, as SIB’s women ministry is just started and there are many precious experiences to learn from PCT’s women ministry.
