Happy Family Day Celebrated By Senior-Aged Couples At Chong-Chou Church

As more and more people accept the second Sunday of August, The Day of Happy Families, Chong-Chou Presbyterian Church specially invites nine couples of senior-citizens to celebrate this significant holiday and urge Taiwan society to treasure such precious relations in the family.
Cheerfully led by their grand children and given a heartfelt bless by the audience, these nine senior couples, who have already been married over fifty years, are invited to walk through red carpet in the euphoric musics and hymns.
Rev Chen Lien-song, pastor of Chong-Chou Presbyterian Church, expresses that this is the first time in the church to hold such wonderful service for senior couples. Many of them did not step on red carpet when they married about half a century ago, Rev Chen says, adding that it’s very touching to see their loyal marriages can be honored and blessed by their most beloved family in the church again!
