Yong-kang Grace Home Church Furnishes Her “Sister House” To Accommodate More Female Homeless

Reported by Chen Yi-fan

In the end of March, due to a shortage of living space, Yong-kang Grace Home Church – the only accommodation center for female homeless in Tainan area – prepared to raise NT$ 30,000 to add six extra beds in addition to their current eight female members.

After this furnishing new was released in media, the money was collected smoothly in a short period of time. On April 2, led by Evangelist Chou Bei-chong of Changhua’s Grace Home Church, a team of carpenters arrived Yong-kang and finished this furnishing job.

Several years ago, due to male homeless were dominant in Tainan’s accommodation center and the female homeless’ privacy could not be well protected, the demand of setting up an exclusive female homeless accommodation center had already been anticipated by Assistant Evangelist Liu Chi-fong of Tainan Grace Home Church.

Through a joint cooperation from the church, Tainan City Government and many civilian groups, a “Sister House” affiliated with Yong-kang Grace Home Church was finally set up three years ago.

Now this furnishing for Yong-kang’s Sister House has finished in blessings, though, a continuous donation of material resources and financial aids from the church is still expected. For further information, please visit Grace Home Church’s website at http://good119.org/.
