Five Unique Churches Of Taipei Presbytery Hold An Allied Musical Service To Witness God’s Love
Reported by Chiu Kuo-rong
In the afternoon on July 9, the PCT Church and Society Committee held an allied musical service, inviting members of Justice Action Church, Po-ai Sign Language Church, International Japanese Church, Yuan-mei Aborginal Church(Amis) and Pai-jia Aboriginal Church(Bunun) to perform their specific programs at Quisui Traditional Opera Park in Taipei City. Blessed with different gifts from God, these five churches in Taipei Presbytery are the so-called “Unique Church” facing special challenges in their daily ministries.
Justice Action Church, Po-ai Sign Language Church and Pai-jia Aboriginal Church still do not own a building for their respective church; Yuan-mei Aborginal Church(Amis) is a church located at far distant tribe at San-Shia Township; International Japanese Church has problems to communicate themselves to the communities or fellow churches due to language barrier, even though she is granted a status as an official representative in Taipei Presbytery.
Rev Tsai San-hsiung, director of PCT Church and Society Committee, expressed that these five unique churches are indeed speaking different languages and living in distinct cultures, though, but after a share in communion service and an acquaintance through mutual interaction in this allied musical service, they will make a covenant to become partner churches at 2:28 p.m. in 228 Peace Memorial Park on October 29, 2017.
In his thanks-giving prayer, Rev Cheng Kuo-chong, pastor of Justice Action Church, expressed that these five unique church were limited in resources, though, yet because God’s compassion is unlimited, all churches will become His strong bodies due to an amazing dynamic love will keep driving us to help and support each other till God’s kingdom comes!
