Amateur Oil Painting Exhibition Share God’s Word And Beauty
Reported by Lin Wang-ting
An amateur oil painting exhibition, organized by both “Painting No Fear” oil painting class and community missionary center of Taitung Presbyterian Church in Taitung Presbytery, is launched at Taitung’s MacKay Memorial Hospital(MMH) since September 2.
This oil painting exhibition cover a range of different subjects, including mountains, rivers, plants, animals, human species and biblical stories, which are separately showcased at the Li-Yu-Shan art gallery(the ground floor of Tatung’s MMH), hospice care rooms(the 5th floor) and the health examination center(the 3rd floor) till the end of this year.
Ms Chen Fan-ju, executive secretary of Taitung Church, remarks that the “Painting No Fear” amateur oil painting class originated from a simple idea to learn more about beauty about two years ago, September 2017.
As time passes by with more and more oil paintings are delivered, both the church and the community become amazed to learn God is so incredibly beautiful and abundantly compassionate living among us. Therefore, an oil painting exhibition is prepared and shown at Taitung’s MMH.
In the future, Ms Chen expects, there could be more tableware or kitchenware utilizing these amateur oil paintings and God’s words to give to more people for gospel’s sake.
