Thai-Peng-Keng Church Cater For The Homeless At New Year Eve

Reported by Tsai Wang-zeng

To reach out to the homeless and the poor in the community, the Thai-Peng-Keng(TPK) Maxwell Memorial Church held a series of charity events, including free meals, medical diagnostics, charity auction, picture book swap-market, and musical concert, at the New Year’s Eve of 2019.

Many fellowship groups and medical professionals within the church were recruited to engage in kinds of charity events. For example, meal boxes were prepared by Happy Kitchen Fellowship members; free medical diagnostics were offered by professional physicians; second-hand goods auction was hosted by PCT Tainan College Student Center; children’s picture book exchange-market was led by Sister Liu Yu-wen for the children of the poor; musical concerts were attended by the students of the musical department of Tainan University, and TPK’s hand bell choir, jazz band, vocal choir and chamber orchestra.

After giving a thanks-giving prayer to God’s amazing care to us all in 2018, Rev Wu Ming-han, director of PCT Tainan College Student Center, delivered his sincere blessings to the audience amid a heart-felt countdown for the very excited beginning of New Year 2019!
