Human Right Feast Held For The Homeless And The Victims Under KMT’s Political Peresecution
Reported by Chiu Kuo-rong
In the evening on February 29, a street feast with 20 tables for the sake of human rights, inviting the homeless, human rights activists, scholars, the victims and their families under KMT’s political persecution, was held beside the Legislative Yuan. This street feast was organized by Homeless Taiwan and Dr. Chen Wen-chen Memorial Foundation.
Sheng Goh, a victim of political persecution, remarked his days of exile in persecutions was an inerasable shadow in his mind and a too traumatic past to speak it again. Organizers of the feast expressed, though the homeless and the victims of political persecutions were two different groups yet shared a similar destiny, the feast was expected to be an important support to encourage and help those homeless people to stand up again.
